About me

Professional overthinker.

Intro

Hey, I’m Luke, a Yorkshire-born creative who swapped engineering drawings for surfboards, and then swapped surfboards for storytelling. I’m a marketing strategist and creative who loves getting stuck into projects with purpose. Whether it’s helping a startup find its voice, building campaigns that move people, or telling stories that stick, I’m here to make brands feel more human. I work remotely, think globally, and bring a whole lot of energy to everything I do. If the project’s meaningful and the people are sound, I’m all in.

Career

I actually started out as a marine engineer, building things with structure, precision, and a whole lot of patience. I worked as a design liaison for the Aircraft Alliance at BAE Systems, helping engineers talk to each other (and often translating what the machines actually needed). But while the work was solid, I realised I needed something more creative, more people-facing, and way more adventurous. So I made a sharp turn, into the world of storytelling, content, and brand. Over the last few years, I’ve worked with global names and grassroots crews alike: leading digital strategy for the PWA World Tour, building campaigns with Ross Edgley and PHD Nutrition, rebranding health-tech firms like Isla, and producing creative for brands like Panasonic, Bridgestone, and Barbour. I’ve worked B2B and B2C, in-house and agency side, from Cape Town to Cornwall, always blending strategy with story. The goal’s always been the same: connect with real people, create impact, and do it without the fluff.

Personal

I grew up windsurfing off the Yorkshire coast and running up hills just for the view at the top. That sense of movement, of being outside, being curious, still shapes how I work today. When I’m not working, you’ll find me chasing surf, hammering down MTB trails, or out running until I forget what I was stressed about. I’ve lived and worked in places like India, Hawaii, South Africa and the Canary Islands, always finding ways to keep my creative work grounded in the real world. I like brands that give a sh*t. People that care. Projects with a bit of fire in them. If that’s you too, we’ll probably get on.
